We were tired of fitness companies that didn't seem to like people.
BasischFit started in 2019 in a borrowed garage gym in Cologne with three coaches, four kettlebells and a stubborn belief: that the fitness industry had drifted so far into transformation theatre that it forgot to actually help the people in front of it. We came back to basics. We've never left.

"We don't sell transformations. We sell the rest of your life — only stronger, calmer, and a little better organised."
— Lena Hoffmann, co-founder
Make sustainable strength the default, not the exception.
We exist to help adults build the kind of fitness that compounds — that gets handed down to their kids, shows up in their fifties, and outlives every trend cycle. We measure success not in pounds lost, but in years of training that didn't end in injury, burnout or a quiet shame spiral.
A million people, still training in 2050.
By 2035 we want a million members worldwide, with an average tenure of seven years. That's the only growth metric we care about. Anyone can sell a 12-week shred. We're building a company that can prove what it did with the other 92.
Six convictions that shape every program.
Boring is a feature.
If your program looks interesting from the outside, it's probably not working. Adaptation comes from repeated, slightly progressed work — not novelty.
Food is not the enemy.
We don't ban foods. We don't moralize calories. We teach a portion framework that holds up at airports, dinner parties and 11pm.
Sleep is a lift.
We program sleep windows the same way we program working sets. Skip the recovery, skip the adaptation.
Habits beat heroics.
Twenty minutes, four times a week, for ten years beats two hours a day for six weeks. Every. Single. Time.
Coaches > content.
Information is free. Application is hard. Our coaches don't send PDFs — they read your week and respond to it.
Slow is the cheat code.
The slowest progress that lets you keep going is the fastest progress there is. We build for tenure.
The humans you'll actually be working with.

Seven years, one stubborn idea.
A garage in Cologne
Lena and Marcus run their first cohort of 14 humans. Twelve are still training today.
We go remote
The world shuts down. We rebuild the entire program for delivery through an app. Membership 5x's.
Nutrition arrives
Dr. Adler joins. We launch the no-spreadsheet nutrition framework that becomes our signature.
10,000 members
We pass ten thousand active members across 38 countries. Average tenure: 19 months and climbing.
The journal launches
We start publishing weekly. Plain language, no hype. It quietly becomes the most-read independent fitness publication in Europe.
What's next
We're building partner clinics, a longevity-screening program and a coach education arm. The basics keep getting bigger.
The body you want is built on the days you didn't feel like it.
Book a free 20-minute consult. We'll listen to where you are, where you want to go, and tell you honestly whether we're the right fit. No pressure, no upsell, no scripted pitch.
